Unit lessons

The format for lessons follows the unit format, insofar as you need to begin each lesson with an essential question and enduring understanding(s) related to the overall topic/goals of the unit and indicate alignment to state standards, and performance assessment criteria.

1. Four (4) lesson plans are required, including a culminating activity, with the total covering approximately 2 weeks for the unit. (The selected grade level will determine the length of the period.)

2. Include the following in your lessons (not necessary to include all in each lesson)

a. Relation to community

b. Primary sources (not just a reference but in digital form)

c. Integration of technology

d. Interdisciplinary connections
