Ware. Quabbin Reservoir. View north across the vast Quabbin watershed. This is the western edge of the Worcester Uplands. The land here slopes south and west to the Connecticut Valley via the Chicopee River tributaries. Here in the 1930s the Swift River was dammed to create the water supply for Metropolitan Boston.
